We decided that eggs are a universal sign for Easter and work well in our blended family. Each girl drew an egg shape on her paper in graphite pencil, then colored it with watercolor pencils. I encouraged them to decorate the eggs. Then, they were asked to use light colors to completely color the rest of the paper, leaving no white. They used fine brushes to blend the colors as they chose, and then waited a while for everything to dry. They were asked to choose springy colors to write words around their egg that remind them of Easter. Graffiti art!
